The more things change, the more they remain the same. I couldn't make out the exact year at the bottom of the flyer, but it appears to be 1955, sixty years ago. Fluoridated water? We're still arguing about this and the same old arguments are still be presented. Polio serum? Well, that one's a bit moot by now, but the battle over vaccines, in general, still goes on and has not really moved one bit from the wilder arguments presented against polio vaccines in the 50s. Mental hygiene? It is now a broader web of concepts, practices, and theories; but the argument about this continue also...
What has changed is who s claimed to be responsible for it all. Communism has receded as the default boogeyman. Fluoridated water is now a plot by either the US government to chemically control the populace, a plot by the chemical industries to enrich themselves by 'poisoning' the populace, or its a plot by the pernicious, mysterious, 'New World Order'. Vaccines are now a plot by
Big Pharma to enrich themselves at our expense, or an effort to spread certain chemical mind and body controls by, again, the US government or the NWO. There is no end to the plethora of mental health variations now existing and those who have all sorts of reasons or causes and responsible parties for the state of our psyches, individual or collective.
