But this mindset that everyone else has to respect someone's beliefs, and must make special dispensations when "necessary" is by no means limited to Muslims or Islam. Orthodox Jewish men who refuse to sit next to women on public transport, faith-healing Christians who let their kids die rather than provide care that actually does something, or the Amish who demand (and are given) the right to keep their kids ignorant of the world by only schooling them to the 8th grade - they all come to mind.
