If you are refering to the tutorial mission where they wake you up and tell you the XO wants to see you on the bridge, yes you can indeed skip that. open CareerHistory.cfg located in "
SH5\data\cfg" in your documents folder and change
HasCompletedTutorial to true. that should allow you to skip the tutorial mission.
