Actually, most of these are just typical WaW experiences. For me, my favorite was the Happy Times for the 2.Flottille, which came in 1942 with Drumbeat. There was lots to do and you'd always be on top of everyone else's adventures - it seemed like a lot would happen, but at the end of the patrol it was a good feeling coming back to base and seeing that everyone made it back too.

Oh, and just before that, too - my attacks on South Atlantic convoys. I'd really developed a whole methodology for sneaking up on convoys on the surface, and it was really exhilirating manuevering past escorts. Especially of note was the time that I managed to run into TWO convoys when they passed within just a few miles of each other - having to manuever between them and both their escorts. The prize for me was a cruiser

I miss the Happy Times. On the other hand, the late war makes for some great tension. But the Happy Times really were a markedly different time for WaW, as they should be.
