Excellent books, excellent series. The sequel, War and Remembrance, is equally good. The downside is that you have to accept that members of this one family manage to be at every single important part of the war. You also have to ignore that Robert Mitchum is far to old for the role of 'Pug' Henry, as well as being too tall for the part of a man whose main driving force in life is his short stature.
I say "excellent" and then complain? The complaints I listed are my only ones. Overall both shows are well worth watching.
