That's like hanging a big target around your neck and inviting the allies to take shots at you.
Maybe if you became an extremely successful supply boat captain you could change the course of the war and bring the BdU to victory, but since the allies had broken the enigma codes, how long do you think it would take before they crafted a mission to destroy all U-supply boats and yours in particular. I rather think it's dangerous enough just with a 'normal' boat as it is.
