OK, I'm going to do as recommended in this post. Will let you know if I come across any "SH4" stuff.
EDIT: OK, after using "regedit" to find the registry, I went to "registry editor" - "edit" and typed in "silent hunter" in the box as indicated.

The machine dug down to local settings - software - Microsoft - Windows - Shell - Mui cache.

Under this heading, in the box on the right, a series of "things" opened. One of them read:

C\Program Files\x86\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter Wolves of the Pacific\sh4.exe

It is an REG SZ file.

Should I delete this?

BTW this is one of the things that make one reluctant to go digging in the registry - one unwarranted action and there will be hell to pay.
