Looks like the English part of the Conservative Party are trying to make things as hard as possible for the Scottish part.
All the rhetoric that twat Shapps comes up with does is feed the "Conservative Party = Anti-Scottish Party" line that the SNP use very, very effectively.
Having written that, though, Conservatism didn't really exist as such in Scotland. It was
Unionism based on three tenets - "Church, Empire and Union". The Church of Scotland is becoming increasingly irrelevant, there's no Empire these days and the Union is in deep doo-doo.
Little wonder the political right in Scotland is up the creek!
