Once stopped and gave a fixed penalty ticket to a woman for failure to comply with a lawfully erected traffic sign.
I would normally have given a verbal warning but when asked where she lived, she replied "I'm not from this area and don't understand the road layouts around here".
On checking her licence she lived a little over a mile away.
Next day I took some witness statements to the admin floor for typing and was introduced to the new starter on the admin team....guess who it was
