i play with 67% realism so don't worry

, i would recommend to start learning manual tdc and after that gather some info's on really clever tracking and targetting methods like
aob slide ruler, for finding aob of a ship
trevally scripts, like kiel outbound, after-torpedo escape and patrol
look at the charts (E) because they are AWESOME and with a ton of useful infos, including the one used to find the correct cell inside a patrol grid (when you are told to, for example, patrol AN0735 you have to use it)
the 3'15" rule (track the distance of a ship for 3'15" and divide it by 100 and you will have the speed)
search infos for the awesome tdw option editor (so you can activate snorkel, pm me for infos) and generic patcher (ton of fixes and additions)
