Corporalspiffy, if you keep digging up year old posts, you'll stay a Corporal for the rest of your career!!

ClayP's Optic mod was made for a SubSim community member who needed to see the dials/views better with his old sore eye's. His "Avatar" from the forum is on the Captain's Desk picture within the mod. He's not been around much lately, I fear his health may have gotten the best of him.

The "ClayP's Optics for SH 1.4" can be found HERE. It will work with the stock 1.4 game. There are several versions that will work with other mods made for a v1.4 game. You'll find them in the "Downloads" section of the forum.

If your using v1.5 of the game, you should use "MaxOptics IV for SH 1.5".

They both will increase the games views and enlarge the dials along the bottom tool bar, BUT you should know, the magnified views in the periscope are not in any way authentic. The mod is just eye candy.....it won't help in measuring with the Telemeter Divisions of the scope. There's no scale correction like in "Optical Targeting Correction".

MaxOptics, or ClayP's version, just magnifies the scope's view to see better. It doesn't fix the Stadimeter, increasing the accuracy of it's findings. The Stadimeter is going to work the same as in the stock game.

Yes, they are JSGME compatible.

Enjoy it for what its worth.
