Gotta love the title;

the whole battle was a chance encounter at a rural crossroads; specifically undesired by both sides especially by R.E. Lee;...there were no 'ultimate generals' at Gettysburg. Everyone above the rank of Colonel screwed up in the three day mess...at one point or another.
