I just started playing WOS mod as well under 100% realism. Click on nav officer icon at bottom and then the report button. The 3 buttons that show up on the right are the ones to use to plot by

1. via celestial fix by sextant
2. dead reckoning

the 3rd button is to plot the last fix on the map. It seems to take awhile for the celestial fix, but that's most accurate. After he plots the point I then draw a line from that point along my current heading to see where i'm going.
