When you say "common" do you mean every 10-20 minutes real time?

Shouldn't this CTD have been stopped by the offline update to UPlay? Does this error have something to do with how the game wants to communicate with the Orbit servers and receives a "no-joy" response from the launcher which causes the CTD?
