Use a lower TC value - that will give the game 'time' to alert you
If you are using IRAI I made the planes really nasty
They will fly at high altitudes but when they spot you they drop down close to the sea as they close in on you. Once within range for an attack they will pop up and do their attack. This makes them very hard for your crew to spot at long ranges.
If you are using the latest version of my Generic Patcher the RPM inertia patch will greatly impact your diving times as the shafts of the sub now have inertia and will not accelerate/decelerate at unrealistic rates anymore.
So, in effect, realism has been upped greatly. Welcome to being a Uboat captain
