thanks! Seems to have worked. The only thing that didn't work was the patrol grid - I'm still NULL. And, when loading the save game, even though I'm now part of 29th flotilla, and with a start and end-base of La Spezia, I still have the reduced-access base screen. This may go away after I complete my NULL patrol. Hopefully, upon re-enterring my base I will be welcomed as a full member of 29th flotilla!

just loaded the mission and then ended it to test...Next mission, full access, but patrol grid of 0. I could always set it with SH3 commander. Hopefully it will revert to it's previous randomness. I've had trouble with patrol grids before, even without editing so who knows.
