Not to mention the fact that the US Electoral college system discourages many from voting, because the states they live in are already "spoken for". If it had been a nationwide popular election for Prez, Kerry would have won in a landslide.
Not that a popular presidential election will be happening any time soon, it is clearly to the disadvantage of the GOP, everyone having an equal say.
