That's what the Deists of the Enlightenment era believed. God made the universe and blessed us with a brain to go and find out about it for ourselves. Many Christians accused Thomas Paine of Atheism because of his book
The Age Of Reason, not reading enough of it to find the part where he proudly proclaims his Deism.
