How are we best governed?
Often the following quote is accredited to Thomas Jefferson, although he probably didn't say it or exactly say it.
"“The issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite.”
It does seem we are governed by a small elite, people that think they know better how to handle our business. Are we becoming a nation that thinks we best govern ourselves by letting others govern us?
What does it mean to govern ourselves today?
