Plain and simple, if people are sitting on what you want, you make them your enemy so you can justify the taking of it. The natives weren't the savages they were painted to be by the so called good Christian folk from Europe. I wonder how many false flag events were staged in the days of the early settlers to make their theft of land a just one?
After all, history is written by the victors.
Our government has become so used to doing whatever it wants to whoever it wants whenever it wants that they can now do anything to anybody anytime without fear of repercussion. Even if they have to break the law to do so.
