That's nothing. In February 1979, it snowed in the Sahara Desert for 30 minutes. There were some other fairly significant events in earlier February, so I figure it was just hell freezing over.

About 8 years ago it snowed in Israel, they were throwing snowballs in the cities instead of rocks....

I guess you could say hell had its first frost.
Snow in Israel's mountainous Jerusalem and Galilee regions is not uncommon.

On the contrary! My children miss it. Haven't had a good snowfall in 3 or 4 years!
I think this happend in the low lands. I remember it was a big deal on the news when it happend.
