Den0, thanks, working on another version based on an early Alco switcher that was similar to sub engines. When that's done I'll check it out.
ET (phone home) don't get me started on torpedoes, especially the ones dropped by the TBD - how in blazes could the beta testers NOT notice the animation?! Devastator flies low and slow toward the target, then pulls up in a zoom climb - the torpedo shoots out the TAIL of the aircraft, going backwards in a high sub orbital ballistic arc to splash down 3000 yards behind where it was dropped going the wrong direction. Sometimes they manage to hit anyway, but it looks ridiculous.
For those who are wondering what we're yakking about;
One of my buddies in HS-75 about 35 years ago loafing under the starboard sponson of an SH-3D antisub helicopter. That's a Mark 46 he has his hand on, about 8 1/2 feet long and 13 inches in diameter, weight about 500 pounds. Smaller and lighter than the WWII cutie but much faster at 40 knots.
