Considering that the founder of the prize has defined it to be rewarded for already accomplished extraordinary achievements on behalf of military arms reduction - this and nothing else! -, you will not find many winners who deserve it.
Even worse, quite some winners not only deserve not this prize, but also not any other.
In my view, the respectability of the Peace Nobel prize is nill. If I would be given it, I would refuse, but keep the money of course (self-made stupidity should be exploited, I believe), and then maybe file a legal complaint about getting offended by this attempted character assassination. Too many names on that award's list that I do not wish to get mentioned with in one breath.
I think the UN should decide on the the prize. The two would truly deserve each other.
