People have told me that for years. I don't care. If people feel the need to be "cool" and go drink, smoke, do drugs and party and things of the sort...so be it.
I can be social with my little group of friends and leave you out of it.
I can't stand social climbers either...but that's all I'm going to say about that.
In Carrie's situation....she's got no friends, a mental mother, completely sheltered from the real world...She can't help it. I think what gets me in the movie is the fact that I know both sides of the story very well. There's something everybody can relate to in the plot.
The remake doesn't have the ratings that the old one did so I'll have to watch the old one and read the book. I've been meaning to get into reading Stephen King for a year or two now. Just never got around to it.
