My commiserations on the loss of your gallant boat and crew.

Sailor's Lament (from 'Iron Coffins' by memory)

There are no roses on a sailors grave
No lilies on an ocean wave
The only tributes are the seagulls sweeps
And the teardrops that a sweetheart weeps.

You did the right thing. One battlecruiser for the loss of one small U-Boat is a superb return. Sometimes you have to fight even when the odds are stacked against you.

edit: How did you get 17 knots out of your Type II? Mine won't exceed 13 knots at flank even with all sails set and the afterburner on.
