That's a given as far as I'm concerned, especially with SH4, which allows you to run over islands that don't even show up on the charts. In real life your crew would see it.
My Dead Is Dead constitutes anything I consider realistic. If they kill me, I'm dead. If I'm running at high TC and they appear out of nowhere kill me before I can even react, then the game cheated.
