Subsidies...! Germany has managed to effectively ruin and kill its once globally leading solar panel production by subsidizing Chinese producers until they had eaten German rivals alive. Also, do like we do: guarantee private electricity producers with solar panels on their roofs a certain basic price for every kW/h. This works great over here: electricity prices for the end consumer are in a steep climb since years over here, although at the markets the price of renewable energy is slightly falling. This is because the more reneweable energy gets produced, the more of these guaranteed prices must be met by comensating differences via an additional" tax to electricty costs which is used to pay out these guaranteed prices.
That is a fantastic result from government regulation once again, and from the brilliant idea to subsidize and by this bypass and sitort the reaosn of ordinary market reason. Healthy reaosn wouold say: the greater the supply, the lower the price,. right? Germany has found a solution to this dilemma! Over here, it is totally the other way around:
the higher the supply, the higher the price!
We are now I think the European country with the by far most expensive prices for electricity. Who needs market logic, when he has a galloping
politeska to brilliantly plan the economy instead!
They now want to build wind parks in the North Sea, and build new enerrgy "highways" to transport that electricity 800 km south to the industry in Bavaria and Baaden Würthemberg in Germany'S south. For that, billions are needed, which get collected by - raising energy prices.
All this while the raw price for electric power at the spot markets is falling!
The whole system is so hopelessly derailed and idiotic (like the emission scheme policies and so many other EU acts of idiocy as well) that it leaves oyu speechless, yaw wide open, when you examine it and finally understood what is going on and how it got there.
This is the planet of the apes.
