Kind of a stupid idea. Two groups of enemy ships, in close proximity (you know that the US Navy will crowd them and breath down their necks), and you invite 'accidents'. Not only do you have ships staring at each others' throats, you have the close proximity of naval aircraft.
Think Lexington. Think the Cuban Missile Crisis.
VERY stupid idea.
