Give your average cop 15 rounds and he will shoot 15 rounds
Give him 30 rounds and he will shoot 30 rounds
Give him 10 rounds and he will shoot 10 rounds
As a professional card-carrying innocent bystander, I think I am safer when the police have less ammo to spray at someone they suspect.

A cop that is in that much fear has no business being a cop.

Personally, and this is just me mind you, I wouldn't pass judgement unless my ass was in a high stress situation where I may concievably die and not get home to my family. I don't think I would have high expectations to hit bullseyes with heavy breathing, fast heart rate, adrenaline, fear, all hitting me at once. That said, I do agree they need more then an annual qualification.

Wow. Bet this would not have happened if everyone in the room would have had a gun...
Amazing what can kill you these days.
"Sorry, your husband/boyfriend was killed in a cinema for writing a text message."
What the hell.

Since there's hatred of cops being expressed as of the last two posts, it bears mentioning that the shooter in that incident was a retired cop. 21 years on the force, instrumental in developing their first responder team, etc etc.
CNN has been short stroking this story all day. It's like their wet dream come true. Shooting, murder, cop, theater. All great keywords for great ratings.
