Most would agree standard operating procedures are to "ahead flank" and full rudder when splashes are heard.

I always thought the charges were masking our subs, but your telling me its their own prop wash masking our escape??

If i'm understanding correctly you're saying after a depth charge run (passive)phones are still working/running/operating but fruitlessly? kind of like a refigerator with its door left open?
