I gotta say the London cabs and the metro are superb; and I've been on the NY subways and Bay Area BART too. I drove most of the UK on the left which at my age is 'reverse combat engineering' but knew better than to
try it in London proper. And there is no need to drive there as the alternative is so much better and worry free "Mind the GAP!" still rings in my head as you exit the metro-car! One thing though: crossing the street is perilous for yanks who don't look right
