Get the Dvd version it's cheap and you will then have the option to reinstall if you need to..

Steam and other downloads forget it too much hassle not worth it.

Dvd after installing go to Ubisoft - Silent Hunter 5 - Support - Gameupdater - Gu run the application and the game will update to v1.2

You need to be able to use TDW's Generic Patcher so at least you can enable the torpedo patches.
