Convoy with no escort
Early 1940 on my way to my patrol grid just north of the Cape Verde Islands I got a radio report of a large convoy nearby which I was able to intercept quite easily. To my surprise no escorts are present. So I set up a night attack to start sinking some merchants. I used a few torpedoes to sink some of the larger ships then decided to use the deck gun to pick off some of the smaller ships. Little did I know that there were a couple of merchants that were heavily armed (Q Ships)! After a close shave with those two, I am now going to set up a daylight submerged approach to try and dispatch the Q ships then surface and finish off the convoy. If successful it will be the first time in all the years I have played SH3 that I have managed to sink a whole convoy.
