Oh and to answer your question, yes the IRA has executed their own on a number of occasions. I would say that's a terrorist group and not an Army. Lord Mountbatten was a prime example (though he wasn't Irish). HE alone was their target, but because they're an unprofessional rabble, they took out innocents along with him.
