I just engaged my 1st destroyer (avoided them until now), I missed with 2 torps, and just decided to surface and lay into him with my deck gun. Never...Or more to the point, only if absolutely, positively, I-will-die-otherwise, necessary. I tend to listen to Uncle Karl and play the tonnage war. Destroyers tend to be too nasty for my liking. Although it is fun watching one trying to outrun a T5...
