Please can anyone explain why, occasionally, a sunken ship marker appears on the chart in grey? They are usually red - I wondered if it might be because I didn't hang around to observe the sinking (in attack) but I still got credited with 'the kill' . . .

Second question, yesterday I tried running the game entirely in German (I usually run in English with German speech) and was surprised by the change in the radio messages received - much more detailed general war reports from Deutsche Rundfunk or OKW and as far as I could translate no messages between BdU and other boats - the latter seem to dominate the English text versions of radio messages - why does changing to German text make such a difference and does it change anything else? I ask this because after changing to German text I experienced my first patrol without any contact with the enemy - I returned to base after 35 days with just the smell of diesel left in the tanks!
