Just a heads up, there's an ownership issue currently going on with Fallout 1, 2 & Tactics with a small possibility that GOG maybe instructed to 'remove from sale'. If this should happen GOG can (not will) remove them from user libraries (other games have met this fate on GOG).

I can find various references to windowmode in some texture mod packs but nothing that affects the vanilla game, even D3DWindower fails and crashes.
