i know no one is reading this post but my carrier idea was..

You can 'fire' airplanes with your UZO. These planes can be loaded like torpedoes and in the campaign loadout menu you can load up different types of planes, torpedo bombers, dive bombers etc. Your aircraft carrier has only a very weak anti ship defence and has to be escorted by ships.

In the german campaign you go up in ranks and eventually call in task forces.
so if you play the campaign you start off with a group of destroyers guarding you, on the 2nd rank you get a destroyer fleet with a cruiser guarding you and so on until you get a whole taskforce with battleships and all guarding you.

You can call in recon planes through carrying an airfield with you and attack enemy ships with your planes through the UZO.
