With the G27, I can easily peel of layers when rubbing my fingernail against the edge. It's like a knife not well-sharpened. The general feeling of the 430 paddles is heavier, more solid, they are thicker, the microswitches in the G27 are in the visible open, in the 430 the mechanism is covered.

Had my hands on many wheels, even expensive ones, in the stores over the years. The 430's paddles trump everything I ever touched, by a huge margin. Very solid, good feel.
