I feel his pain...
My second ex's specialty was going from shop to shop all day only to decide to buy at the first shop we had visited earlier in the day. Of course, she made her decision just before the fisrt shop was scheduled to close and, of course, the shop was clear on the other side of town (and, in Los Angeles, clear on the other side of town is a long way away). And, of course, it was my fault we didn't make it to the store on time, regardless of the distance, trafiic, etc. She was a very nice, intelligent woman, but all that seemed to disappear when it came down to shopping...
There is also the ritual of holding her purse while she shops for clothes; I have spent quite a bit of time in the sad company of men outside dressing room areas, holding my lady's purse; it sometimes seems like all of us men are serving some sort of sentence:
"You the new guy?"
"Yeah, I just got here. And you, how long have you been here?"
"I'm not sure... What day is it?"
"Sunday"
"Is it still November?"
"No, December"
"What's it like outside?"
"Hey, cheer up! You'll be out soon"
"My wife is buying an entire new wardrobe...plus accessories...and shoes..."
"Wow, I never met a lifer before..."

BTW, Jim, this video is NSFWWW (Not Safe For Watching With Wife)...
