Actually Type941 if your definition of the Europe not being able to sort things out is that we don't shoot first and ask questions later then you are correct. I don't see how diplomacy = Chicken.


You could also look at it this way. A problem arises, Europe uses diplomacy, things go from bad to worse, the US wades in with the military, Europe kicks up a fuss but doesn't do anything to stop it. Why? Well US troops go in, the US is villified and becomes teh target. If it goes to rat **** then the blame is directed at you guys, if it goes well Europe shares the credit. Quiet a good strategy if you think about it. International arse covering and blame deflection...

Oh one thing I never seem to hear though is any thanks to the UK for sticking by the US however misguided it might be at the time. Sure a couple here have said so but not too many.
