ALWAYS remember that you are playing a computer that while it should not know some things it always knows those things. like when you play solitaire or Hearts on the computer (or god forbid poker or chess) it knows exactly what cards you have and has already calculated the outcomes of every possible move you can make. the way SH3 got around this is that it introduced crew experience so there would be a chance of error like the DCs not being set at the right depth IE to shallow or you might get that elite crew who will get you nearly 99% of the time. Though depending on the type od destroyer you came across he might not have had active sonar but those ships will behave like they do a game limitation i think.

After 1941 things in SH3 get almost exponentially more difficult.
