It's been a while since I did the last one... This time I'll try and do a proper one with characters and a plot and such. I may improvise along the way but it'll be for the good of the story IMHO.

June 11th, 1942
It's time for the story of the Captain of the S-47. Frank Eversmann.
*War Diary Entry #1
I got my orders. I'm to report to the S-47...an old pig boat. Just what I wanted. At least we're stationed in Brisbane. Maybe I'll pick up a nice Aussie girl.
I've got a green crew but hopefully we're going to change that. I need to whip these boys into shape. We haven't had much time to prepare, however, and they are sending us up North a ways...
This morning I flipped through my Bible a bit. I can't say i'm not nervous. There's rumors going around that after Midway, the Japs are planning another attack. It feels like I should be there to sink the troop carriers...but another part of me is scared. More scared of the unknown than the Japs I think. I still don't know. Time will tell...
