I play with %97 realism for the moment. Event camera is left on to observe how successful my Manual Targeting was. For the beginning I can recommend you to check limited CO2, Fuel, 0xygen, Batteries etc.. Just left Automatic Targeting on. It all depends what you except from Silent Hunter 3 and how you enjoy it.

If you enjoy achieving thing while being closest to reality, then go for manual targeting, h.sie's hardcoded fixes and other realism mods. (If you want to feel what ubooters or submariners felt during war then max the volume and try to command you sub from command room on TC= 1 while depth charges explodes)

If you enjoy more in arcade style, continue with automatic targeting and other super sub mod.
