Having had a bad day and your signature on a formula does not exactly match former signatures down to microscopic detail? That's forging a formula, that is deceiving the police - it's death, dude! Spilling some coffee on the policeman'S table by putting down the glass too hard ? That is lacking respect for the authorities - you're dead, man!

That they acted so quickly maybe comes from the authorities realising by the grotesque reaction that they indeed deal with a trigger happy in uniform.
