I've played these mods since last year and didn't really receive as many ctd's (once every few hours) in the previous campaigns as I am doing now in Mare Nostrum... Just a thought 
Any particular mod recommendations that you would perhaps replace my mod list with? I realise my mods might be a little outdated now since the last time I downloaded mods was during the later part of last year (shocking I know  )

I'd go with gap's advice over mine any day .. my knowledge is limited. Sober's list + minor adaptations works well for me.
