Hi Christian and welcome to the forum - the best one you'll ever find on the internet!

To me it sounds like you're starting your SH5 by clicking either;

- the sh5.exe file (C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5) or
- the shortcut on your desktop

If this is correct you should download the UPlay Launcher, here; http://uplay.ubi.com/

Try this and get back if this wouldn't help
