Not worth it

I got my 1st tattoo 15 years ago, and have never once regretted it. As far as infection, the artists made a show of putting on rubber gloves and opening brand new needles from a sealed package, which he discarded after the tattoo was finished. The guy said the Health Department certified the shop and inspects it regularly. I felt the possibility of infection was low. I had some swelling for a few days afterwards, but never had any bruising. There will also be some bleeding as you get your tattoo, so be prepared for that.

Like any major purchase (they are expensive, as well as permenant), wait a month and see if you still want it. If that's the case, definitely shop around and look at different artists work.
You don't want to pay $250 for something you don't like that you're stuck with, and less he hate it enought to have it removed.
