All that does not compare to the constructive use of internet activity, like kickstarter campaigning to get a business project founded.

Also, if they need income to have their stuff posted, let them take entrance fees. That at least is honest. I prefer it to advertising any day. I see what's offered, I decide whether it is worth it to me or not. Done. Also helps against wasting your time with stuff you only visit because "it is free". If you want to see whether something is worth it for people, then look whether or not they are separating with their money.
