I tried the turn tail and fire from a rear tube approach, two torps, two duds... He is a sneaky joker.. Likes being you're "back door man" as it were. The only advice I can give anyone is if you wish to look for him and you are playing at 100% realism, go see what you can shake up. My career was off to a great start, and he ruined it, well BuOrd and him.... The Q ship is easy to avoid, think of it as a really shallow drafted DE, early war allied DE, with only one stern drop rack, and no throwers. I am not saying killing him isn't possible, all I am saying is that in the early years, it isn't worth the time to find and kill him. But it is nice that there is that element of an awesome movie and book!
